At Sydenham Family Dentistry we offer all aspects of general dental care. This includes restorative, surgical, prosthodontic, endodontic intervention, along with preventive care programs.

For anxious adult patients and children, we offer nitrous oxide sedation for minor routine dental procedures.

For patients that require a deeper level of sedation, or for medically compromised patients that cannot have dental procedures performed in the office, we have access to a network of hospitals that offer general anesthesia to allow treatment to be completed.

Dental implants offer a predictable solution to restore missing teeth. We provide both the surgical and prosthodontic components of treatment here at Sydenham Family Dentistry.

Silver Diamine Fluoride was developed in Japan and approved by the Japanese FDA in 1970. Recently (2017) Canada has approved its use for treating dental caries. It is a non invasive method to slow or arrest the progress of dental decay.

The first dental digital X-ray was developed in 1987. Since then, many technological advances have been made to make the technology available for everyday use. Depending on the type of image required, digital x-rays can use up to 90% less radiation than film X-rays.

For patients concerned about radiation, there is technology available that can augment our ability to detect cavities and small fractures in teeth. This cannot totally replace the diagnostic information achieved from an X-ray, but it is a valid adjuct when needed.

For patients that do not have the ability to be transported out of their home or place of residence easily, we do offer home or institutional visits for exams and minor dental procedures.

At Sydenham Family Dentistry, we are aware many of our patients compete at a high level which requires both the appropriate injury protection, and the necessary skills to deal with potential traumatic injuries.
